BUY tickets or sponsorships online: https://www.floridaoutreachcenter.org/events/dining-in-the-dark/ The PBCSO SWAT Team, wearing night vision goggles, will guide Dining in the Dark participants into the darkened ballroom and serve them a decadent 3-course meal. Provisions have been made for any dietary restrictions and a vegetarian meal is available. Unfortunately, children 12 and under are not permitted due to safety considerations. Dining in the Dark helps to raise funds for educational, therapeutic, vision and support services for individuals of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. These specialized services empower people with vision loss to lead active, independent and successful lives. Florida Outreach Center for the Blind, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 2003 and provides FREE programs, services, and classes to the more than 48,000 blind residents in Palm Beach County. All programs are overseen by a certified Vision & Rehabilitation therapist and offered in English, Spanish, French and Creole. The FOBC’s programs for the blind and visually impaired include: Through the skills learned at the center, individuals become more independent, enjoy a better quality of life, and are able to utilize community resources, pursue an education, and choose a career path.
