What Palm Beach Dermatology Experts Want You to Know About Common Skin Conditions

Florida's sunshine is part of why we live here — but it also puts our skin at greater risk than almost anywhere else in the country. Join Dr. Tatyana Nektalova, Dr. Mojgan Hosseinipour, and Dr. Casey Cohen, moderated by Dr. James Fishkin, for a candid, practical conversation about keeping skin healthy at every age and stage of life in South Florida.

This panel will cover the essentials of sun-related risk, including melanoma and skin cancer prevention, detection, and treatment, along with real-world guidance on sunscreen and other preventative products that actually hold up in Florida heat and humidity. The doctors will also address the skin concerns that bring most people into their offices: eczema, psoriasis, pigmentation changes, vitiligo, alopecia, and how skin needs shift as we age. Florida-specific issues like bites, stings, and wound care will round out the discussion, with insight into chronic wound management drawing on TrustHouse's expertise. Parents won't want to miss the segment on pediatric dermatology, covering sun protection, sports-related skin care, safe products, and warning signs to watch for in kids.

Each physician will close with their personal "word to the wise" — the one piece of advice they most want every South Florida resident to remember for keeping skin healthy for the long run. Speakers

Dr. Tatyana Nektalova is a board-certified dermatologist and founder of Dermatology & Aesthetics of Palm Beach. She completed her dermatology residency at Mount Sinai, where she served as Chief Resident, and has built a highly specialized concierge practice spanning medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. She is known for combining clinical excellence with a caring, empathetic approach, taking the time to understand each patient and deliver thoughtful, highly personalized care.

Dr. Casey Cohen is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, with more than 20 years of experience in complex skin and breast cancer surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She most recently served as a staff surgeon at Tampa General Hospital, specializing in surgical oncology with a focus on breast cancer and the management of high-risk patients. Prior to that, she was a staff general surgeon at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where she founded the hospital's Complex Skin Cancer program. She is known for her patient-centered approach and deep personal commitment to caring for both breast cancer and skin cancer patients.

Dr. Mojgan Hosseinipour — is a board-certified dermatologist, clinical investigator, and physician-educator specializing in medical, surgical, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology, with particular interests in skin cancer, pigmentation disorders, and hair and scalp disease. She earned her DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her dermatology residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is active in dermatology research and education, including work with the Skin of Color Society, and is known for providing thoughtful, individualized, evidence-based care.
